Join us for a dynamic 60-minute “Power” Yoga Flow session, expertly led by the fabulous Laura! It’s time to unleash your inner strength and groove into your flow.

After channeling your energy, elevate your practice with a 60-minute “Handstand Blueprint” workshop led by the incredible Charlie—because who doesn’t want to defy gravity and flip their world upside down? If you don’t fancy handstand, why not try headstand, or forearm stand? Laura is on hand to help get your Yoga inversions looking and feeling strong.

Once we’ve worked up a hearty appetite, we’ll indulge in a delightful lunch break featuring scrumptious bites from the ever-popular Bondi Bowls, straight from Manchester’s finest, delivered right to our studio—be sure to sneak a peek at the menu so your taste buds can start dancing! (see below)

Finally, ease into bliss with a soothing 60-minute Gong Bath led by sound healer Pat Whelan. His minimalist, temple-style sessions are grounding, meditative & deeply restorative experiences...you are in for an hour of indulgence and rejuvenation

Charlie is an exceptional handstand coach as well as Gymnastics and Calisthenics Teacher. He has taught many clients how to hold the perfect handstand.

For our advanced practitioners, we’ll cover advanced strategies to elevate your technique and take your handstand skills to the next impressive level.

Additionally, we’ll teach you how to effectively structure your own practice sessions, giving you the powerful tools to create a sustainable routine tailored to meet your personal goals and aspirations.

After a couple of hours after movement and inversions practise there will be a chance to unwind, engage in lively conversation, and refuel with a scrumptious, nutritious lunch courtesy of the amazing Bondi Bowls. Trust me they are sooooooo good!

Ease into bliss with a soothing 60-minute Gong Bath led by Pat Whelan who runs Children Of The Gong, the Peak District's premier planetary gong sessions.  Pat is a musician & audio engineer & recently qualified as a chakra-based energy healer & therapist.  For those interested, there'll be primers in Cousto's "Kosmische Oktave" theory, which underpins the use of planetary gongs for therapeutic purposes, along with some more general chat about the wow (& the woo!) of the broader sound healing scene. These minimalist, temple-style sessions are grounding, meditative & deeply restorative experiences...

This half day retreat is the perfect escape for those seeking balance in their physical practice, creativity and vitality in their movement practice and a moment of peace for the mind. We understand that paying the full amount in one go is not always feasible so we have created a payment plan…

Instead of paying the full amount in one go you can break up the payment into more manageable chunks. You choose how little and how often you pay, it is that simple!

All we ask is that you reserve your spot with £15 non refundable deposit and that the full amount is paid one week before the workshop takes place (i.e Saturday 19th April.)

Once you have paid the initial deposit we will be in touch with you to discuss how you would like to pay the remainder of your balance.

Frequently Asked Questions for the Handstand Workshop

1. Do I need prior experience in yoga or handstands?

No prior experience is necessary! This workshop caters to all levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their existing handstand skills.

2. What should I bring to the workshop?

Yoga mats are provided but please bring your own if you prefer, comfortable clothing, a small towel, and plenty of water. The studio also has props and straps available for you to use as well.

3. Will there be a warm-up?

Absolutely! We’ll start the session with a comprehensive warm-up to prepare the body and reduce the risk of injury.

4. How long is the workshop?

The workshop lasts for two hours from 1pm - 3pm filled with techniques, practice, and tips to help you achieve or improve your handstand!

5. What if I can’t hold a handstand yet?

No problem! We’ll provide you with various progressions and techniques tailored to your current skill level, allowing you to build towards a handstand at your own pace.

6. Is this workshop suitable for all ages?

Yes! As long as you have no serious health issues, individuals of all ages and fitness levels are welcome.

7. What happens if I have an injury?

Please inform us of any injuries before the workshop begins. Modifications will be provided to ensure everyone can participate safely.

8. Will there be any follow-up support after the workshop?

We………..you’re welcome to reach out for additional tips and guidance post-workshop. We love to stay connected!

9. Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring friends or family along. The more, the merrier! Just make sure they register too.

10. Is there a refund policy?

Yes, we have a refund policy! Cancellations made at least 14 days before the workshop date will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than 14 days in advance.

11. What will I learn during the workshop?

You will learn key techniques for proper alignment, strength-building exercises, and how to fall safely. We’ll also discuss mental focus and how to conquer the fear of being upside down.

12. Are refreshments provided?

Yes! lunch is provided by Bondi Bowls, Once you have booked on to the workshop you will be sent an email asking for you to select which bowl you would like delivered to the studio for you to enjoy at lunch time. Bondi bowls caters for all food allergies and intolerances. If you would like something different for lunch that is absolutely fine, you can bring it with you or have it ordered to the studio, please note you will have to cover the costs for this yourself.

13. What if the workshop is full?

If the workshop reaches capacity, we will keep a waiting list. If a space opens up, you’ll be notified immediately.
